Windows Document Imaging (WDI) is a Clarion For Windows DLL that is designed to allow Clarion Developers to easily add imaging to any application.
WDI takes care of scanning, image display, and file management. To scan an image simply call the wdiScan procedure and pass the image key and description. For example, wdiScan('key1','TestImage') will cause the scan window to appear. The end user selects the number of pages they wish to scan and presses the scan button. The image display window includes thumbnails of each page. The user can zoom in and out, rotate, select pages, and print one or all pages. Each image is stored as a compressed tiff file. The file name is managed by the wdiScan procedure and is automatically assigned. The programmer only needs to assign a unique key for each image.
